Most aggressive Betta?

Is there a type of betta that is more aggressive then the others?

Also, if I put 2 male bettas in the same tank 5-10 gallon tank, with hopes that they would get along, and left them for a bit, how long would it take for one to kill the other? They would be the only fish in the tank? I figure they will kill eachother, but I'd still like to give it a try, I just want to know how long it would take.

Please don't put them in the same tank. All bettas are aggressive in their own way. Even if you put them in a larger 50 Gal tank, they would eventually kill eachother. They are all different and there are some that don't seem very aggressive, but put in the situation of being attacked, they would fight back. If you are going to purchase 2 and put them in the same tank just to watch them fight, then you need better things to do with your time. It's in their nature to fight, so no matter which ones you put together and the size of tank you put them in, they will fight, and they will either fight to the death or until one is dying because it is so shredded from the battle.

No, I don't want to just watch them fight for fun, but are you sure that there is no way that 2 male bettas could live together? I want the pretty males, but I don't want to end up getting babies...

Oh okay phew! Lol you scared me Listen, I breed bettas, I love doing it, and the only time males have gotten along are when they are fry. When they start growing, they get more aggressive and I have to separate them. I say, if you want more than one male, then you're going to want to invest in more than one tank. I wouldn't even recommend keeping a male and a female in a 5G tank unless its temporary for breeding purposes. What you could also do is buy a tank that comes with glass separaters so you can house more than one without them coming in contact with eachother.

You don't necisarilly need to buy a tank that comes with dividers, you can buy them. Just PLEASE don't keep them together without a divider!

Dividers are great, when I was a kid my parents had a 55 gallon with dual dividers. One was clear and the other diamond patterned and opaque. They mounted right next to each other so the fish were always separated but you could remove the opaque one and let the fish flare at each other without being able to get to each other. I'm not sure what kind of fish they were but I think this would work for this situation.
