Most expensive fish on liveaquaria

why with the expensive fish??? most I ever payed for a fish was $30 for my fuzzy dwarf lion... the funnest fish are the cheeper ones! :P anyway that is a very expensive fish all I can say is that it better crap out gold or something for a one thousand dollar price tag!

reminds me of that game insanaquarium :P

i would never pay more than..... 50 dollars for a fish, especially for a sensitive fish.

This one's only $3,499 at http://www.marinecenter.com/fish/tangs/gemtang/

Price is so cheap, look's like they've sold out already

4G's? That like rent for a couple of months, BIG @$$ HDTV, Brand new computer, Bedroom sets, Hell even a whole reef set up on craigslist. Man the list goes on and on. The day I pay 4G for a fish is the day I have enough money to build a 10,000G aquarium in my house!!!

cannot do it in the UK as i am aware as there are too many variables that can go wrong, so they refuse to cover..

I can get my system covered under the insurance, which i do, but that does not cover any inhabitants...

Some pet shops charge $1000's for a dog; why not spend it on a fish? Not saying I would, but obviously some people are willing to pay that going rate or they wouldn't be priced like that.

Good point, I guess they pay that much on the breed and the fact that if they buy two dogs from that expensive breed and they can make a profit when their dogs have pups. But my lps even have 1200 bucks for a bird!! I guess the rule of thumb is the more exotic looking and rare the more $$$ for it. I wonder how much they would sell goldfish if they were neon green:huh:
