What's the best method for generating good flow inside a tank? Some suggest just using timers like coralife's wavemaker timer. I only have a 30 gal so i don't need much, but what's the standard suggested and what would you suggest for a tank my size.

SCWDs are good, except I have had problems with them sticking because I use kalkwasser. I currently use SeaSwirls, which are more expensive, and don't give quite the same kind of surge, but have been much more dependable for me.
Something I haven't tried, but gets excellent reviews, is the Oceans Motions system. It's a lot like a SCWD, but with a motor to make it more constant and dependable.
