Sorry but I really need types of mouth brooding cichlids! One of my (supposed)convict cihclids has eggs in her mouth but conivcts aren't mouth brooders... so what is she??? sorry for so many posts!

Are you sure the eggs are in her mouth and not in her stomach (read:she ate them)?

no there are no pics... and im sure that she hasn't ate them because i thought it was gravel so i was taking it out... Then I noticed that it was eggs, and she looks NOTHING like a convict... she has a narrower body, brown with black splotches somtimes she will have stripes, and she has orange on the top of her dorsal fin not her bellie. I also have another convict cichlid he's a male... so it might be a hybrid of some sort I just don't know!

sorry i have no pics but they were sold as convict there not the only 2 fish in there though... they have my oscar,shark,and pleco. I'll try to get some pics on though!
convicts can move eggs/fry by mouth and move them to a safer place. all the territorys are filled so she keeps them inher moth. and more caves or she will eventuallty swallow them. my cons are cleanings things geating redy to spawn right now
She actually just spit them out today... they got eaten by my shark, the reesin that she did that... MINNOWS!
