movie plot help

hi all. me and my friends like to make movies. and we have a new movie in the works, however, before i can begin the script as well as where im gonna switch camera angles, work out where to shoot from. i need a central plot. ive seem to become stumped and cant seem to think of something, its gonna be a movie about high school kids. ill be recording some at school, other parts outside of school. however, i cant seem to think of a centraly plot as i said, so right now, its going nowhere. do you guys have any ideas. thats all i need, any suggestions are appreciated.
 
What kind of theme are you going to use? Also is this for school (like a project) or something?
 
no, the other movies have, each with increasing success. however, they are all smaller than 5 mins typically. i want to amp this one up and make a 20-30min or more full out movie. i write script, direct, film, occationally act (i dont like acting much, cuz than i cant shout orders from the camera). i just need ideas for the main plot and than i can go from there.

Oh yeah, and what kind of genre do you want it to be in though? (Sci-Fi, Romantic, Fiction, Non-Fiction)? Once you decide the genre it will be easier to formulate a plot from there.

id love to do sci fi. but we are really limited on special effects. im going to avoid romance. i think the general theme is just life in high school, ive got a few scenes already planned out, just need to put them on paper. but there needs to be some kind of conflict or something to give it a story back bone.

our old videos are on youtube. the first was HR669, which was a video we had to use to persuade you to sign the petitions against the bill. it was ok, but sparked our interest. next was the beer video, which was made for a contest held by our school. we used a 2 man crew, which made filming very awkward and quite complicated. next was our best work in my opinion. the mol project. which was themed around "i am legend" the 'mol' is a scientific equation, but we took it to literal moProxy-Connection: keep-alive Cache-Control: max-age=0 s. we had to put certain numbers into it. this is when i started using camera angles more to add effect, and it worked quite well.

Kid grows up in small town....Gets scholarship to a great school.....scared of leavin everything he knows.

Boy has crush on girl...wants to tell her b4 they go away to different colleges...Girl felt the same way.

Kid gets scholarship at a faraway college...Parents want him/her to stay home n help w/family business

Kids look for outside for something kool to make movie about ....turns out that everything they want is right in their school.


Seniors sittin at a lunchroom table their last week b4 graduation...They think back on their wacky times......u can have flashbacks for each kid.
 
well its a group of us. you know, the whole kinda thing with a circle of friends. so we dont plan on making it about a single individual.

that would be fun, but like i said, we dont have much for special effects. so that wouldnt be very easy for us.
