I have some green terrors that are growing, they are about 4-5 inches now, the new tank (125G) should be up and running in 2 weeks:grinyes:. Any thing I need to keep in mind before I shift them? The tanks are about 15 feet apart. Should I just net them move over to the new tank and drop them there. The fish are real rascals and I don’t want to stress them too much.......

I assume matching pH and temp are under control, I would just move them over with a net.

If all water parameters are equal and you can net them fairly quickly, then you can just net them and move then to the other tank. However if netting them stresses them too much, as if you can't easily net them in a few minutes, then I would transfer them to a holding container first.

I just moved some cichlids from my 55 to a new 125. With the first couple of fish I used a 5g bucket mixed with water from both tanks. I placed them in that for a few minutes before moving them over. They showed no problems, so I netted the last fish and moved him over without using the bucket. He did fine as well.
