Hey everybody,
First time here. Need help! Moving in a couple weeks and wondering how to prepare the fish. I have a fresh water tropical tank.

I moved not even a year ago yet, not too long ago. I had lets see... 1-2-3-4-5-6-maybe 7 tanks to move. I got some large tup-o-wear bowls/containers with lids. I put all the fish in their own bowls, exept the ones of the same kind or the ones that got along together. It matters how big the kind of fish you are moving are, what kind of fish you are moving, how far away you are moving, etc. What kind of fish are you moving and how big of a tank do you have?? How far away are you moving??

Thanks for getting back to me so quick! My tank is only a ten gallon. It's my first real aquarium and it's been on the go for almost 2 years. It's about 30 minutes of driving to get to the new house. Do I want to save as much water as I can? Would the fish live in a five gallon pail with a heater for a couple days until the tank is set up? Also, what is this cycling thing people keep talking about.
Thanks for the help!

oh man thats easy just drain a little water out so it doesnt splash out and throw then in the car (not litterly) 30 min of a bumpy ride then you can take the 10G and set it up in your new place. Be warry though PH and other params. might be diffrent from your old place. So its a good idea to save the water you do have and if there is a PH change you dont shock them by having some massive water change.
