will moving wood from my brackish tank (0.012ish) to a freshwater tank make my water salty? is that ok?
its probably not that big of a deal because im switching out my goldfish for a figure 8 puffer soon anyways

It will leach out some salt, but not enough to make much of a difference, and it will be taken out with regular water changes anyway.

If you have a hygrometer or refractometer just move it and test... Water change if needed... and you're good :) Unless it makes Specific Gravity rise after multiple water changes, I wouldn't worry about it.

You mean hydrometer, for measuring specific gravity. A hygrometer is for measuring relative humidity.
