Mozilla firefox toolbar bookmarks & Back and forward problems

Have you guys ever encountered this problem? Because unfortunately I AM and it SUCKS. I can't even navigate back and forth nor use the bookmarks. The bookmarks toolbar is gone. I tried just about everything! I upgraded to version 3.0, resetting the preferences, disabled some plugins, went into safe mode (resetting the toolbars w/e) tried to restore my bookmarks, etc... Anyone out there can help me with this con problem? I appreciate it

That sounds like a bad install. Try uninstalling, reboot the system and then re-install. Make sure you have FF 3.0.10 which is the latest release. When it installs it will tell you which of your add-ons are not compatible with this release. I find it a tremendous improvement. You will also need to update your Java and Adobe Flash.

Did you go under view < toolbars< bookmarks/navigation bar and make sure they are checked?
 
Okay I'll try uninstalling and reboot, and reinstall the latest firefox. Thanks excuse.

Uninstall and reinstall doesn't work. I can't even bookmark aquariacentral nor can I navigate back and forth D:
 
I had problem ALL the time. Probably 6 different occasions my bookmarks were erased. It eventually stopped with the newer versions of firefox, but I'm still wary.

I don't know of any way to get them back easily.

Search 'firefox bookmarks gone' in google, or something similar, the ways to do them were a little too complicated for me to go through when I could just go find my sites again haha.

Have you ran adaware, ccleaner and spybot search and destroy?
That is the first thing I would suggest. They are all free and excellent programs to help keep your pc running smoothly. My mother was having problems like you are experiencing and that fixed hers right up. Just a suggestion.
 
Actually before this problem happened, I was running out of space badly, so I decided to do a major 'disk cleanup' from start>accessories>disk cleanup. And so then it happened. I started running into problems with not having more than 3 bookmarks and then, then I got serious and decided to history clean up & registry fix using (Desktop Maestro), Spyware doctor (I actually found 1 low infection and 1 HIGH (surprised, I removed it and rebooted the computer), defrag not fully completed (took too long) THEN I opened mozilla firebox internet browser and still nothing, etc etc.

I'm thinking about doing a defraging tonight and go to sleep..it might take a while
