Msobo Color Transition Pics

Here are some pics of my most recent male metriaclima msobo color transformation. I purchased the fish in august of last year. I was actually under the impression that it was a female (I'm trying to bolster my female msobo numbers).

Here is the male (at the left) near the start of the transformation in January (at the time of purchase he was identical in appearance to the female at the right):

Same month (Jan 2010) just a little darker:

A couple of months later (March 2010), blue pigmentation gradually replacing the yellow:

Nearly two more months later (the yellow is pretty much all gone, the blue darkens):

How he looks now (photo taken in July 2010), much of the blue has been replaced by black:

This particular specimen has less blue specks than my other two matured males which reside in two other tanks.

awesome, im still waiting on mine, he looks like urs does in jan... though, I may have another male in my midst. its biiger than my male and all yellow, but showing signs it may be male...extra eggspots popping up, line ablove the eyes and some slight light blue shining in its body...lol
