I recently added a few mushroom corals to my reef tank and I’m still learning how to keep them happy. They seem to be doing okay, but I’ve noticed that some stay fully open while others remain smaller or move toward lower areas of the rock.
I’m wondering how much lighting and water flow affect their growth and placement. Do mushroom corals usually move around the tank until they find a spot they prefer?
I’d also like to know how quickly they can reproduce and whether it’s better to leave them alone or occasionally relocate them.
