Mushroom Coral reproduced(i think)

I was looking in my tank today and I found two polyps free from the rock in my tank. I could tell the rock was getting overcrowded but i didnt want to risk fragging it. I guess the coral did the job by itself. So now how should I attach the polyps to a rock? Could I use panty hose instead of bridal veil? I dont know if it will cut off to much light or not so i dont want to risk it. Any suggestions? I really want the polyps to survive so I can trade them or make a new colony.
 
I have used bridal veil and rubber bands. The last time I just skewered a few with toothpicks and stuck the toothpicks where I wanted them in the rockwork. Worked great. Panty hose should be fine. The mushrooms will stick down in a few days, and will be fine with less light until then.
 
I dont have any superglue but that sounds like it would work good. I didnt have panty hose or bridal veil at my house so I had to use a plastic bag. It doesnt work very well and it doesnt seem aquarium safe but it was the only thing i had on hand at the time.
 
toothpicks or rubberbands work pretty good or just plain old string.

I got some panty hose to hold it down. I didnt get rubberbands though. My dad forgot to get them. Ill have to find a peice of string to tie it down with.
 
The panty hose didnt need a string. They were strecthy so they just retracted back in the form of the rock. So now I have two polyps that are being reattached, one that I lost in the tank, and another that looks like it is about to break off. So how long should I wait until I take the panty hose off the shrooms?
 
A couple of weeks at the very most. It didn't even take a week with some of mine and I just sort of wedged some of them between two rocks.]
 
I have some good news. I have 3 polyps attached with the pantyhose. Four came off the main rock but I lost one of them. Ill get some pics of them just so I know I am doing everything right.

I have a funny to share from my experience too. It looks like my fiesty little damsel is meaner than I thought. The little sucker attacks ME. Lol. I dont think it will beable to stay in the tank when I want to get my other fish. Right now it is with a clarkii clown, but the clarkii keeps it in check. The clarkii doesnt attack me though. Its actually kind of scary when you see it going for the attack. It feels really weird too.
