mushroom id??

i bought some coral rock from the lfs... the guy said this was a mushroom... i have googled and googled and only i found that look similar is a hairy mushroom.... can you guys id it? thanks

it kind of looks like a rotting clam. Are the little protuberances hollow on the end? Have you looked into sponges?

Mandy, from the pic I can't make out a mouth. Is there one from another angle.

oh thats the way it always looked. never mind now i got up last week and my hermit and puffer was attacking it and now its gone. i pulled some of the rock out during water change and never found it so i believe it was ate LOL
