So here is the real thing from Zorba. I have seen a lot of B&W movies and this was a great one...

These provoke fond memories for me. In HS we had Greek Dancing Day when we all grapevined lead by the BIG dry cleaner's family. Sort of a skip day but with music & dancing all day! Fun stuff! Zorba was featured several times each day since everyone knew it, but there were lots of others too. There might have been Greek snacks sometimes too!

Got 2 hours for some great music? No? Well find it. J. J. passed July 26, 2013 and Leon left us November 13, 2016. This is from 1979.

I believe this was their final live performance. Billy Preston on keys.

I keep finding such nice stuff going back in time via Youtube. Have 26:20?

And this one is for for fishorama and her dance partner. Just the right tempo? Of course it is for dancing as a couple not the sort of stuff done since the 60s.

In case you need some inspiration...

Thanks 2 tank but I don't have a dance partner, I have a DJ, lol. Still, swing, etc. looks like lotsa fun!...for people less klutzy & more coordinated than I am, even alone. I'd also like to try salsa dancing someday...fast, lots of tiny steps & hip & shoulder wiggling, kind of my speed ;) This is as close as I get Los Lobos - La Bamba - 11/26/1989 - Watsonville High School Football Field (Official) - YouTube most times...surf is similar in some ways The Ventures - PIPELINE - YouTube of maybe I just dance like it is

I think I am going to do a Ry Cooder night. So much good stuff played with so many equally talented folks. And you can dance to a lot of it.

Enjoy.

Same song, different musicians. The vid is not the best but the sound is what counts

Blind Faith were an English supergroup featuring Steve Winwood, Eric Clapton, Ginger Baker, and Ric Grech. They were eagerly anticipated by the music press following on the success of each of the member's former bands, including Clapton and Baker's former group Cream and Winwood's former group Traffic, but they split after only a few months, producing only one album and a three-month long summer tour.
Here is how they sounded in 1969

And now using the magic of Mr. Peabody's Wayback machine here they are in 2007. A scant 38 years later.

Then there is Bootleg recording from a1972 jam. I started it after the pre-song talk
