I like to marinate my steaks (and sometimes chicken breasts, perhaps) in my favorite marinade recipie that I got from my father. Maybe everyone knows this recipie but if not, you're going to love it.

Simply mix:
One can of regular coke or pepsi
One cup of Soy Sauce

Tenderize the steak by making lots of holes with a fork if you've bought cheap cuts like I do. Soak the steaks in the marinade mixture as long as you want to.

When it's grill time add black pepper and either salt or an orange colored "Lawry's" type seasoning salt.

My wife *loves* steaks made this way and she doesn't even like Soy Sauce.

I marinate my steaks(ribeye) in a mixture of Italian dressing, worcestershire sauce, red wine vinaigrette, and a steak seasoning salt. I'll put the steaks and marinade in a gallon sized ziplock and shake it up until the steaks are coated. Then I'll tenderize the steaks by pounding on the bag with my fist. Just make sure you get all the air out of the bag before doing this. ;) The steaks almost fall apart when you cook them...many times I wont even need a knife to cut them. They pull apart with a fork.
I'll have to try your marinade next time I cook some steaks.

I cheat...Jack Daniels came out with new marinades. They are already mixed in plastic bags, you just open and put the meat in. What could be easier!!
Or I use the Adolph's marinades.

Yours does sound good, mvigor...I'll have to try it.
