HI,

Here is the pic of planted tank which was set up 4weeks ago and finally after the cycling and bacteria bloom i have crystal clear water where i can see my plants and fish. I am surprised that my plants have been growing all this while.

This is work in progress so please excuse all the empty space you see in my tank

First i would like to thank all the people who had posted valuable information on AC, only after reading all the info i felt like setting up my own planted tank and my very special thanks to DJLEN who guided me through this whole process

My tank Specs
10 Gallon Tank
Flourite Substrate
DIY CO2
3 watts per gallon lighting
Ferts: Flourish, PMDD (twice a week)

Plants
Rosette Sword (right front)
Pennywort (left corner)
Ludwigia palustris (center background)
Bacopa Monneri (left corner behind Pennywort)
Ludwigia repens (center background)
Mayaca fluviatilis (right front)
Hygrophila difformis and Hygrophila polysperma next to each other in center right (Hygrophila polysperma got all the new green leaves i think due to low light)
Baby Tears (small bunch below the rocks)
and finally some Riccia in the front and floating.

Right now the only fish i have is 4 Paradise fish and i love them. They are fun to watch especially when the flare at each other you can see bright red coloring.

Lets see how it goes. Hope you like the picture

Extremely beautiful tank, especially for a first try! I'd love to see your future tanks!;)

Wow! Very nice tank there...!
I like the variation on sizes, colors, and texture of the plants.
Very clean water too!

Have you tried a background? Sometimes dark backgrounds can really look good..
