My 10g shrimp sanctuary

Just a quick update on this tank. Sadly, my Cardinal shrimp all died within a day of each other a couple of months ago. I think it was water quality. I didn't keep it clean enough for the fragile guys. I may try them again, we'll see. The Malawas and Blues are doing great. I'm thinning out my Malawas by selling them at the LFS and also sending them to my 29g. I think I'll convert it back to all Blues, as I really just think they're prettier. Might try some Green Babualti in there when the Malawas are all moved. We'll see!

I'm sorry to hear that :(
Cardinals are very fragile and it's hard to find out what is wring in a tank.

Yeah, I'm fairly sure it was that I let the Nitrates or some other component that is alleviated with water changes get too high, but it's just a guess. I might try again... Your yellows are looking beautiful, btw! I see them on aquabid.

That's a bummer about your cardinals, I would love for my 10gal to look half that good! I've never taken a moss ball apart before to make it grow flat like that, is there any trick to it?

BTW, I still have two of the Malawa shrimp in my 10gal I got from you still small enough I never know if I'm looking at the same one or not! Gonna do another water change this weekend and add some more plants and maybe some rock..

No trick really; just tear the things open!
If you want more Malawas once you get your filter figured-out, just let me know :)

I'll try to get another pic this weekend. The moss grows wildly, but I just did a trim a week or so ago.
