Nice tank. I have a 125g that I have two fluval 404's on, but I bought a fluval FX-5 that I was going to use. But my brother talked me out of it, he thought that there would be way to much current. Yours seems to fine, or do you think it is because of your plumbing system you have set up that make it ok. I also like your system for doing water changes. How frequent do you clean the substrate?

Zig...that looks wonderful!! You did a really good job on it, you know I have never seen black tetras before....really cute! Are they more hardy then the neons?

Oh and nice video too, congrats on figuring it out LMAO!

I really restricted the flow when I plumbed the filter in and the UV sterilizer, and then I re plumbed it all (took out all 90 degree elbows and replaced them with 2 45 degrees each), to regian the lost flow..

it is pretty strong, but I dint think the fish or plants mind, that huge chunk of driftwood slows the flow alot too...
I vac the tank anout every 2 days...

Looking great zigman! Congrats! :)
I was wondering at what ph level do you keep the water at? Do the tiger barbs bother anyone?

Thanks!! I mix tap and RO water to maintian a PH of about 7.4. the water temp is 85F. the barbs were pretty battered up my a rainbow shark... I transferred them intot he 125 to save them. they pretty much just chase each other around. I havent seen them nip at anyone else yet, but they are still juvies.

Thanks again!! I wanted to add another filter before I added the discus, but i re arranged the driftwood, and now I have better flow and filtratio in the tank, so I think I might be ready for a few now!
