My 125 Tank Build

Robbie: I would really like to see some current pics of your tank. Last pics I remember were the ones of your two tangs (blue pacific and yellow). POST PICS please. David

I'd be happy to! I just ordered new bulbs and the actinics should be here this week, so it might be a good chance for a few pics.
Thanks for the interest...I'll definitely post some soon. :)

Sorry for the delay, but I have been changing over from PC to MAC. Just got a new aluminum MACBOOK 2.4 and love it, but it is a change in thinking on how the computer works....or operator doesn't. But here are a few pics, haven't edited becuase I am trying to get used to new Photo Editing software.

I have had an ongoing battle with my powerheads: Seio 1600, Tunze 6045 adn Tunze 6055. The Tunze's are workable, but the Seio seems to just want to reak havoc and cause the sand to mound up everywhere. I have just finished last weekend with a new aquascape to try and get better movement around the rocks.....this week has been pretty good so far, except for the sand mounds. I will see if the move of the Seio to the front and lower helps. Haven't seen any negative effect yet.

Oh, forgot to mention that I am pretty excited that the Purple People Eaters are now multiplying like crazy, three new ones when the parent colony was only three. Seems that the coral takes a while to get used to its new surroundings and when it does it goes crazy. The Duncans and the first pic of zoa did.

Interesting on the first rock of yellow/orange zoas - I bought it for $18 and it only had maybe 10 or so heads on it all over. That was about a year ago, now it is covered everywhere and very bright (just not in the pic). The rock is about a 9" long branch of tonga.

And yes I have a thing for Leopard Wrasses - I have three females and have been on the lookout for a male. The females were hard enough to get - some come in but just aren't the right ones, so has taken me the better part of a year in searching for the right stock.

Boy, I can really tell I have old bulbs. the diatoms have started back and everything is looking a bit lackluster. I can't wait for them to arrive on monday.

New Addition

Well I got this acan off ebay and am hoping that the color is the same when I get it. I have looked for a rainbow acan for a long time and am very excited to get this one.
