my 15gallon paludarium update

no, it's manzanita branches. I got a huge bunch of them for about 15 bucks. they had the option of sandblasted and non sandblasted, and I opted for the non sandblasted... over the first month, the bark got fuzzy white, deteriorated, and fell off. the otos and shrimp seemed to love it in places without the fuzz. once the bark was gone I was left with brightly colored branches for a few weeks, and now they've turned dark brown again. next time around I'd just go with the sandblasted ones... they weren't much more expensive.

Wow! how beautiful! Im really lovin those branches!

Nice mellow, looking really good. What kind of substrate is that?

Ah yes I have that in my planted 10gal. Did you put a layer of regular gravel over it?

Where did you get so many branches for 15$? I was about to place an order from http://www.manzanita.com/
I'm not entirely sure what their prices are, but I'd prefer the cheapest option available.

Too bad I'm a bit far from NY. Maybe I can find some locally. I haven't even considered looking till now.
If that fails I'll just go with manzanita.com. I hear good things about them.
