Keep us posted on the ammonia levels. I don't know how good the bacteria stuff is, and I really don't want you to lose any of your cool fish!

I would really caution you about adding anymore fish until you see how well the bio stuff works. You have a beastly filtration system so you could be fine, like you said it is too early to tell. Keep us posted!

And Clowns usually do not tolerate cycling very well, there typically introduced into an established tank. So keep your eye on those levels and be prepared to do some water changes. Got any prime incase ammonia or nitrite gets high? I take it then you didnt have another tank to get some mature bio media from then?

Hope it works out, its a great project thus far!

LB - thanks for the comments! yeah, I'm considering the tank full until I'm finished with all the rest of the little stuff that needs doing, including making sure it's stabilized.

Loaches: yes, I've read that clowns are sensitive to water quality. I've definitely been keeping an eye on it. I've got no problems with water changes - vacuuming up the pleco deposits always makes things look much nicer.

Hatcher - it's coming man, I put another coat of epoxy on it last night. I probably won't put it in for another couple of weeks though... Lots of other stuff on the go atm.

I just added some prime. I need to get different test strips. My test strip I THINK is telling me ammonia is somewhere between 0.5 and 3ppm. uhhhhh, more resolution would be nice!

The loaches seem OK, but I noticed today that they spent more time hiding. That may have been due to the ammonia... I hope they are more comfortable tomorrow. Everyone else in the tank seems to be acting fairly normal. I even got the BGK to eat out of my hand today!
