My 300g DIY paludarium

Thanks for the comments guys. It took some trial and error to find suitable plants, but I think I've got a bunch that are slowly starting to establish themselves. The riccia is doing well in some spots but I think it needs more light than is present in a lot of the tank. I recently added a bunch of xmas moss so hopefully that will start to green up in a few weeks.

Anyways, I thought I'd update with a few new additions.

First off, a Nepenthes ventricosa. I'm hoping that this will eventually start to vine and cover that suspended branch with nice hanging pitchers.

This is an anubias nana sp. 'broad leaf'. I'm planning to add a couple more anubias plants at the waterline like this.

There are a bunch of other plants that are relatively new additions but I'm going to wait for a bit to let them settle in before posting pics.

Nice work! I've always wanted to build one that size and house some Archer fish in it. Then dump in some crickets on the branches above and watch the fun unfold. :D

Hmmm... isn't that an interesting idea ;) Then you'll probably appreciate my newest additions:

A small school of 5 Toxotes microlepis. It took me a while to track down some of these awesome freshwater archers and it was quite a long road trip to pick them up but I think it was totally worth it. They look great in the tank and I can't wait for them to settle in and start spitting.

Looks great! I love the archers and the vent

My loaches were all out in full force this morning so I took a couple of pics. Here's an updated full tank shot:
