did you get any bonus points or frequent flier miles for that "piece of plastic"
Well, a bit of bad news, a hidden fee for saturday delivery came up from the freight company, $411, so no delivery this weekend. It gives me a time to think out the unloading process a bit better though.
LOL, I tried bbq and beer as an enticement for moving my 210 and it was still slim pickings.
The most difficult part of the whole thing is getting the 4'x8' skid (pallet) which weighs at least 100 lbs. alone and the 485+ lbs. of acrylic off the 18 wheeler in one piece without scratching it. Once it's out the truck, it's not that bad to move.

will the truck have a pallet jack? if so, you could have a flatbed tow truck line up to the back of the delivery truck, load the pallet onto 4 furniture dollies strapped to the pallet, roll it onto the flatbed, have the driver attach his winch to the pallet and roll it down the flatbed. then get the delivery guy, tow truck driver and a neighbor to help tip it up and carry it inside. I'm sure they would be glad to help just to see your work so far and to hear your plans.
LOL, interesting idea, but the sheet weighs 485 lbs. It will require bare minimum of 8 guys to maneuver it into the fish room and put it in place. My roommate is a heavy equipment operator, so we're most likely going to try to get a small forklift to handle getting it inside. I'm working on getting a price locally, otherwise I'll take a road trip with the roommates and go get it from Houston.
