Added some swords, and anubias. 3 giant danios to help with the cycling. Got everything you see today for 19$ out the door at petco. :)

Can't beat that.

Looks good. I'd go ahead and remove the larger babies from the mother plant.

Thank you!

I've done that before and they didn't do that hot. My plan now was to let them grow up more then cut them off the runner.

That's fine. They do tax the mother plant of energy and it would benefit the mother plant to remove them at least until it settles in and gets rooted well. Just keep an eye on it. It probably will be fine.

Good job. Looks good now. It's gonna kick a** when it fills in.

I'm keeping an eye on them daily to see progress.

Ohh the plants add so much to the appearance of this tank!

great job

Yeah they do don't they! :) Thank you!

Thanks! Yeah once it fills in its going to be a jungle! haha :)

So I changed up some things since the beginning... I realized I had TOO MUCH LIGHT w/o using any CO2, so I took down the Coralife 65x2 light and replaced with 2x40 6500k Hagen T8's.

I added a few more plants and put rootmedic root tabs into the substrate around the plants. The tabs do help I must say. Even with a low tech setup like this one.

Here are a few pics of the tank and a couple of my prized fauna.... A veiltail GBR! :)

Comments always welcomed!
