my 450 gallon...the rise and fall

I know its an old thread, but I just wanted to say you had an awesome tank and you did a great job with those fish. Well done on finding homes for such big babies! LOL - never easy, I bet. Bummer about your basement and all the money you lost. Sheesh...this hobby is costly enough without 450 gallons of water splurging everywhere!

thanks. i dont mind my old thr4eads being brought up, i actually enjoy it. no reason to stop posting comments just because its a few months old. yeah it is a sad story but was fun while it lasted. the 125 is going through some new changes since im replacing a lot of the fish in the upcoming weeks. im going to hold of on the 600 gallon. i sold it and will be getting an even bigger one in a few years. i just have no time for it now, the 125 is enough work alone.

Man that sucks, that was a really nice set up you had going too.

thanks. i wish i took pics before it broke. the tree stumps were covered in moss and huge java fern plants. it was truely a site. in fact, the night before it broke i told my friend that i dont think it would ever look better.... guess i was right.

insurance covered a lot of it but it was still less than the repairs costed so my father ended up doing most of the construction. so we lost money for the time he took off from work.
