So my tank has been up for 4 weeks now and all is well. So yesterday I decided to get some Rams. I was still kinda hesitant. So I took out the 4 Glowlight Tetras and gave them to a friend. I figured I would remove some of the bioload for the Rams. I don't know if I am being overly paranoid, but I figured I wouldn't take any chances. And after I got home I realized I probably should have set up a QT tank and by adding them without QT I was now taking the chances I didn't want to take....:wall: Mental note: Get QT tank.
So, I wanted to get two pair. At the LFS they had 5. I felt bad leaving one behind so I got all of them. NOW, I think I got 1 male and 4 females. Don't know if this a good thing or a bad thing. Everyone kinda chases each other around. Only the male and one of the females get along. Obviously they have bonded with each other.
I am wondering now if I should remove one of the females and try to get another male. Because it seems they are all fighting over the one male. And he is only interested in one of them. I don't know. They were al getting along at the LFS.
I added my pressurized CO2 system today. Milwaukee SMS122 & MA957 w/ 5lb tank. My Rams spawned. And right before the lights went out I saw one of my Melon Swords pearling. Over all a very eventful and exciting day in the world of my freshwater tank!
