My 55 gallon planted community

Very nice tank!

Loving the aquascape. It's amazing how much the plants have grown over a month. Do you have any Co2 or fertilisers? What are the plants that you've got in there?

I just use flourish 1 capful per week and excel 1 capful every 2-3 days depending on when I remember lol.

I did add a little bit. Tied a few more java ferns to the driftwood and added dwarf sags up front.

It's funny I never even realized how much things have grown until I read your post and went back and looked at the older pic. I've cut the hornwort back 3 times since then too.

List of my plants:
Duckweed
java fern
Needle leaf java fern
Anubias coffeefolia
Anubias nana
Anubias nana petite
Java moss
Hornwort
Dwarf sag
Aponotegen
A couple of assorted crypts
Vals. Spiralis

I'm not too sure I like the java ferns. I prefer the look of the anubias. I will probably be removing the ferns as the anubias takes over. I want to get a couple of anubias congensis for the low spots on the driftwood just to have something a little bit taller.

I agree that something taller might look better. How about another piece of wood for the left side of the tank? I reckon that would sort of be a final touch. Java fern might look nice if it's growing on another vertical piece of wood. The heater could be easily hidden behind the hornwort 'Jungle' to make the tank look more natural, atleast that's what I would do.

Maybe a few pieces of driftwood towards the front right, sort of coming from that one piece in the middle but 'leaking' towards that empty spot in the front right. Also some rocks might look nice.

Just some suggestions :).

Nice growth, very healthy looking! How are you keeping the hornwort down in/at the substrate? You should tuck that heater behind some plants if you can, maybe behind that hornwort bush! :)
