is the filter attached to the hood? As I understand it puffers need a lot of filtration and I would like to just add on a second filter if I go with DPs. Does that look possible with the hood or would I have to break it in some way to get a supplimentary filter in there?

no its an hob i will take pics of the tanks set up with the hood and filter in a second.

theres a clear part that goes down and then the light the clear piece is breakable i would score it and break it on the line idk how well this would work but i bet it would adding a second filter would not be hard and really i doubt its necessary a wisper 10-20g hob would work just fine

yes i plan on upgrading to a filter just like that
sooo i was in petco i was going to get those rasboras and i was watching them and they seemed lifeless they had no souls just a fish so i kept walking and when i walked bye the frog tank i couldn't help but giggle at there humorous tendencies so i looked up at my mom and back at the tank and back at my mom and she said NO so i kept walking cant argue with there person thats buying right we checked out som grahmis and stuff and then when we walked back by the frogs i noticed my mom stopped but i kept walking you know to give her space and about 20 seconds later she calls my name "JERED!...come quick!" so i rush over to where shes standing and she points at this little frog doing a hand stand in the gravel i could not help but grin at the little feller so i looked up at my mom with a big smile and said "can i keep im mum?" she said hahaha why dont we get two?
so i came home last night with two African dwarf frogs i was a bit worried that they would just sit there and only move to eat and get air but i was wrong these little guys seem to looovvveee this tank they crawl back and forth exploring and swimming i was watching them and one of them picked up a mouth full of sand and appeared to be "chewing" on it and then he spit it out it was silly looking.
not sure on how to feed them i remembered something about them needing it to be dark so i set some frozen thawed blood worms on top of a rock and shut off the filter also one right up front and i shut off the light and left the room i came back an hour later and turned on my room light so as not to scare the little fellers and all the worms where gone so i turned the filter back on to see if the would get stured up or something and nope they where eaten
i would have gave an update last night but my computer wasn't working wouldn't load any of the pages.
