My 6.6g L :D river bed tank :)

Nice tank.

Hey, what's been cooking over here? I love seeing what you are going to do next. I'm sorry they moved the thread over here -- seems the activity died down when that happened.

You've inspired me to get one of those tanks and try some dwarf puffers. I saw some in the lfs the other day that were SOOOO tiny I could hardly believe it. They were about this long ___ head, tail, everything.

This thread has me thinking about Dwarf Puffers too. I bought this bookshelf aqaurium for my husband who is going to use it for a Betta, But I'm tempted to buy one for myself for a Puffer.

my puffer really loves it its a nice long tank that gives lots of hunting grounds... puffers are recommended 3 gallons per fish so you could keep 2 no problem.

the tank looks great right now and has been running fine.

i have been cleaning it about 3 times a week... really i do it when im bored alot of the time when i just on the phone or something.

sooo to sum things up i have

2 ottos
1 puffer
3 amino shrimp

soon to be

2 ottos
2 puffers
5 amino shrimp

does this sound ok with you guys?

i also want to add that its just a really fun tank to have, i recommend the filter on the side setup :)

i may take some update pictures soon... if not they will be up at the latest tonight. ;)

How are the Puffers with the shrimp? I imagine they would eat any baby shrimp, but do they leave the adults alone?

On www.dwarfpuffers.com they suggest ghost shrimp as tank mates. i tried this with my first puffer and he was fine with it.. when i had 3 in there one of the puffers attacked the shrimp and i took it back.

you have to deiced if you want shrimp or not... get them.. and then get the puffers if one or both attack the shrimp recommend you ask for an exchange.

the puffer i have right now could care less about the shrimp unless one grabs a blood worm.

the shrimp have not yet reproduced idk if there all same sex or what but none have had eggs.

so i recommend you try it :) ...

here are the update pictures
