My 6.6g L :D river bed tank :)

my reading lamp broke so i tore it apart and boy was i suprized when it made my tank look spectacular... i wish i could capture it on camara it looks so much nicer in person.


all the crud thats at the top of the light is the balast and the on off switch and i plan on moving it to the back of the tank the light fixture itself will get spray painted black and a pc fan will be instaled to keep it cool.

how do i instal a fan?

its a 27w light... i think.

LOL. Thats a funny puffer! He went into the cup! LOL. Hes very smart.
 
he is so smart its great i cant wait tell my snails get bigger im just gunna have handfuls to feed him.

Tonight i completed the light fixture we had an old computer out in the garage and i ask my mom would you sell that computer for $10, and she said idk why? i said cause i wanna buy it so she was like haha marry Christmas. so i raped the fan out of it and a metal piece i used as the stand i screwed the fan onto it and taped the light to the fan.
the light had a small plastic mirror in the back. When i took it out there was a large square hole that fit the fan perfect. Then i put the tank brim back on and the metal piece fits right into the groves.
the fan is run off a 9 volt idk how long its gunna last but im leaving it on over night

So.... The only thing holding the light on is the electrical tape?? Uhm... When it gets warm, that light will be sinking to the bottom of your tank. you're gonna zap the swim team, I would get some wire ties or something...fast.

Where did you get the piece of fake wood on the first page? This is very nice tank.
 
I haven't come over to this thread in a long time -- looks like PufferFan has been off doing other projects. This is still my favorite tank on the whole forum. Wondering what you are up to Jared? Any new developments in this tank? Have you taken it apart and transformed it into yet another amazing creation? How's the puff?
 
I too now am intrigued, I now want one of these tanks, I can't wait till I get my tank up anr running for dwarf puffers
