2 emp 400's running solely sponges for mechanical. Fluval 205 with all BIO max cylinders except the default sponge insert. For awesome Bio. I just added today a Pre filter on the intake to the fluval on the far right of the tank. So now I will not have to even open my fluval for about a year. The prefilter is an awesome design by auqaclear. No big items should reach inside the fluval. My 2 emp 400's pull alot of the big stuff and are placed more to grab. The fluval intake is hidden off in the opposite side I feed. What do you all think of my set up .. Its been going well over a year now. I just added the fluval because the fish are growing and the more filters I have The more I can overstock LOL.

Keeping the bottom clean

Hey petman the setup is awesome man. I have a 55 gal. 10 malawi mix and at the bottow i have an crayfish thats is getting very aggressive. He is the best at eating **** though, do I have any other options? What do you use? :help:

Actually with mbuna anyway you dont need bottom feeders. I found this out after I already added a couple tho. They are still doing great and hide during the day mostly except during feeding time. The 2 catfish are 1 rafael slightly spotted mostly black about 5 inches long. The other is a marble color upside down catfish about 1 1/2 inch long. The mbuna will clean the bottom of the tank in minutes after cleaning. They keep looking making different little pits in the gravel lol. The bigger 1's will take a whole mouthfull of smaller rocks and dump them out 3-4 inches away lol.

Bumped to show off my fish. I just love em . What do you all think of my setup / filters :)
