Got my tank on Saturday and have the water cycled, I put in some of my rocks but I need to get some more or a large piece of driftwood to fill it up nicely...I have my fish in now as well. I have 2 molly's (lost one due to a bully) 2 zebra danios,(lost one due to the same bully) 2 koi angels-a triple black and a marble, 3 ghost shrimp and 2 rope fish.

My rope fish have grown a little bit as well because when I got my first female she was about 8" long and I measured her against the glass today and she is a full 10" and starting to get a bit of iridescent tint to her scales--looks really cool under the lights. My male who was larger from the get go seems to be putting on a few lbs (ok maybe ounces...) since I started tossing freezedried blood worms into the tank. After I use up this container, I am going to purchase them some frozen or live bloodworms and see what happens.

One of my ghost shrimp had some babies hatch 2 days ago, but I have seen nothing of them yet. I will keep you posted it any of them survive. (fingers crossed)

I am going today to purchase another female molly soI can breed them for my friends oscar and my mothers cichlids...also going to get yet another danio....I would like to get another set of schooling fish today as well for the tank-i am just not sure what as of yet..Also today I have to pick up another filter for my 90 because the one that I have is not larger enough to keep up (for like a 40 gal tank i believe) I will be running them together.

Plants have been ordered for this tank and I am still waiting on those as well.I will post pics afterwards, but here is how the tank looked as of setup.

looks good, lets see some pics with the water filled and some fish in it. which fish was the bully? how do you tell male and female ropefish apart? breeding for feeders! so cruel, im gonna have a tuna sandwich now....

yea, great start!..cant wait to see the final outcome!

which fish was the bully?

one of my silver dollars was the bully--he got his though my rope fish bit him once while he was trying to attack the rope from behind

how do you tell male and female ropefish apart?
the spines on there backs.
Males have more spines-generally more than 10 and are a lot larger
Females spines are shorter--less spikey and have generally 9 or less spine

breeding for feeders!
not for me , but for my friends oscar teeheehee:devil:

Recieved my plants in the mail today from vmahaffe. AWESOME I am sooo pleased with what I have. He seriously has made my week. Also I met an amazing guy about an hour away from me who is a breeder and hooked me up with some of my cherries, one carrying eggs already, (12) a handful of java moss and 2 other red shrimp--(fire somethings). Shrimps were hard to take pics of but I tried. Still working on getting my water to clear, but I did get one of my filters today, so I should notice something by morning hopefully...
