Wow, that was crazy. The guppy was lying on the bottom and wasn't going to last much longer anyway, but I didn't expect to look over and see the frog swallow him whole. Poor guy.

A few minutes later I saw him lunge at some of the other guppies. I can't believe he's still hungry. What a pig.

Is it a clawed frog or a dwarf frog?

Sounds like an ACF to me... Any pics?

bad frog ! he may need to be burped :D

joking aside, I think the guys up there are onto something ^ perhaps an african clawed frog is what you have

Either that or the guppy was pretty small.

Hmm. It never occurred to me that it might not be an ADF. Silly me for trusting the labels at Pet*****. I'll try to post a pic tomorrow. It's in my tank at work and between the poor light and the camera on my phone I can't get a decent shot, so I'll need to bring my digital camera and try with it.

It was just a little 1" feeder guppy, and it didn't take much skill for the frog to catch it. It wasn't doing very well and I'd just been thinking about removing it from the tank. The frog actually pushed it out of the way a couple of times while scavenging for food before he decided to eat it.
