Just so you know.. this type of pleco has adapted the name "albino chocolate pleco" as its common name worldwide because of the way they lighten up with age.
They are not a true albino species but the OP is correct in assuming this is its common name.
Sorry to bring this thread out of retirement but does anyone know that pleco's L number?
