Today I noticed that my anubias nana flowered. Before the flower bloomed I just thought it was a new leaf growth.
Is it hard to get an anubias nana to flower? I've had this plant for about 2 years now. Is there a way for me to harvest
seed once the flower goes to seed or won't it go to seed since it's underwater?

Anubias aren't hard to flower, I can't remember if it's phosphates or what...I think the flowers are pretty except the death thoughs (throws?) but it's all pretty in a fungus-y way. I had a young clown loach that thought anubias flowers were WAY cool...unfortunately "veggie" loach had something else wrong with him.

fishorama, Veggie the loach sounds like he was fun to watch lol.

Maverickbr77, how did I know someone was going to say that eventually? lol
Anyway here is a picture of my anubias nana plant:

lol I didn't realize that someone was going to ask for a picture until after I posted the thread lol

does anyone know how to harvest the seeds once the flower goes to seed?

The seeds won't be fertilized under water. You'd have to drop the water level, for starters. I don't think a submerged inflorescence is all that commonplace. I have one such inflorescence coming along now, but I haven't had one flower in months and months.

Thanks for the info Wetman :)
