My Australian Rainbowfish is turning black??!?

Around here, my 40g tank at miejers was $45 and my 75g tank at lfs was $95.

Not to hijack the thread but I have noticed lately one of my turquoise rainbows flashes a bright stripe down its back to its head and seems to be more aggressive when it does. Is this a mating thing or something? It also jitters its head quickly when it does this too.

An 18g tank is not big enough for Australian Rainbowfish. They *need* to be in schools of six or more in a 55 gallon or larger tank.

If you can't supply a proper home for the guy, why don't you see if your LFS will take him or if someone in your area that has the room will take him.

This really isn't fair to the bow.
