perhaps you should shut the computer off.

What i do when these problems occur is boot the computer with knoppix, (assuming you know how to use linux) and delete the infected files. Since knoppix is a different OS the virus will not be able to work in this OS.
Still AVG is a good antivirus and should be sufficient if you update regularly. Use zone alarm fire wall (freeware for the basic personal use version), it will automatically rate websites so you know if you are clicking a suspicious likn.

before you ruin whatever reputation you may have, you may want to get off the forum and google the virus you have so you can safely remove it.

IT people Google the virus because 9 times out of 10 there is already a tool available to remove it. I have done this a bunch of times.

OP would have probably found a tool to remove the virus in the time it took to create this post and then post a few replies to it.
