~~~my Balloon Bellied Molly Just Gave Birth!!~~~~

I went to go feed my fish when I realized that my balloon bellied molly had gotten MUCH bigger..she was very squarish on her stomach! I always thought she was pregnant but after a long itme I just gave up and figured that's just what a balloon bellied molly looks like.

Well, she ended up having somewhere around 35 babies! Which is very exciting..except she also dropped about 8-11 eggs!!

I can see the babies inside of the eggs..some way more developed than others....what should i do with the eggs though? Should i just flush them or do you think they will end up hatching??

This seems odd because my guppies have never laid ANY eggs while giving birth...

If anyone could help me out or give me any helpful advice that would be great! Thank you!

Mollies don't lay eggs. They are livebearing. The eggs must of come from something else.

No..it had babies too..but then dropped some eggs also...I can see the mollies inside of the eggs they just aren't hatched and i don't know what i should do with them.

I know...that's my problem...what should i do with them? I am positive they are hers I saw her drop them...AND i can see her babies inside of them...

Keep them! Leave them there or move them to another tank.

So you think they will end up hatching? Even though they were supposed to be delivered live?

Probably will. But there's only one way to find out.

They probably won't hatch of if they do they will be deformed or still births. She probably released them because they didn't develop as fast as the others, and therefore have something wrong with them.
