My Betta rescue

i'd say minimum 4 weeks if you are unsure of how they were kept prior to you receiving them.

From talking to the girl they've been taken very good care of. She's healed them and kept the water clean so their fins could heal.

fin rot is not a concern i had in mind, i'm thinking more along the lines of parasites.

When you make the dividers, design them to be as absolutely tight to the walls, floor and lid of the tank as you can. Bettas can be absolutely committed to attacking one another, and they will go under, around or over.

Nice saves, and good luck!

Ok I got the story on the bettas....

Turns out some neighbor hood kids had seen beta fighting on youtube and wanted to give it a shot. They bought 4 bettas and proceeded to fight them. One of the kids mom found out and contacted R the girl I got them from. R took them in and did her best to heal them. One had died, and one was already adopted out. She has had them for over a month in separate tanks and been treating them with melafix and stress coat. I didn't quaranteen them because of this. She had pictures of almost every other day and showed them to me. She had many tanks in the house and multiple Bettas, I trust her basically.

I brought the blue boys home today, I have a few pics of them and the build of the 10 gal divided tank. (never heard back from the dude with the 20 so the 10 will due for now)

I siliconed in those plastic paper binder things that are used to hold papers...they clip on the side...hard to explain

I'll get better pictures of them when they settle in and hold still

What kind of sand do you have in the tank?

Beautiful setup! I have seen the report cover spines (let's call that the official term for them) used and I was interested in seeing some nice shots of a setup. This'll convince me that it's worth it to silicone them to the walls of my tank :)

Why does everyone have access to these amazing driftwood pieces? All of the LFS around here have horrible, overpriced pieces :(

It's Kwik Krete play sand

my silicone is very sloppy

t's probably because you live in Cali....everything is overpriced.

No worries, I'm still hunting driftwood for you.

That is some great wood! Can the boys see each other thru the plastic canvas? I've wanted to do this, but figured I had to load up plants to help block the view...

Do I see two HOBs? What brand/size are you running? That's also a great idea to ensure good circulation...
