awesome. I think I'm going to get a black pot belly molly today after work then. Then I'll probably pick up a dalmation molly as well. You think 3 mollies is capping the stocking in that 10 gallon? Or could I get more?

Not true, there are many different species of mollies. Most commonly the sphenops (blacks, dalmations, silver, etc) and then there are a couple sailfin species, latipinna and velifera as well as a so called "amazon molly" which is formosa. of course all the genus names for all of these is Poecilla.
That's not what I have been told. They can breed together, anyway.
