Red Claw! Definitely a Red Claw (Cherax quad), and a very cute one with with great coloring!

I love that last shot, so cute... just peeking out from under the rock. ^_^

Wow!! That's a really neat little crayfish you have there! I love the coloring! Is this crayfish's color affected by the foods it eats? Or is this a normal color variant?

 Yay! Now if I can get a good shot of the underside maybe one of these days I can figure out if Krusty is a she or a he.

Actually those are his/her colors. It's dark blue then these highlights of pinks and purples. Really cool. I just recently started feeding color enhancing pellets from Ken's but that was after these pix were taken. I honestly don't think Krusty is even eating them, he prefers live ghost shrimp & guppies plus some sinking shrimp pellets every now & then. Rotten :headshake2:

He got new digs last night, the water is much clearer (sp?) this AM but I am going to give it another day to settle. He got a 20 gallon, and LOTS more lava rocks. I've never seen him so active.

I just saw one today. But I wasn't gonna pay twenty bucks for it.

I just lost him. He was only $10, but the joy he brought me was worth much more. Tuesday I am getting 2 to replace him...so it's worth $20 to me. I have seen them priced as high as $30 a little too steep for me.
