looks more like a babaulti to me. There are alot of color morphs coming out with the babaultis. Some are striped. Most have that characteristic flattened top line and longer rostrum as well as the broad stripe down their back. http://www.akwaria.pl/krewetki/caridina_babaulti-en.html

What substrate do you use in your Babaulti tank. The link said that they fry are extremely small and hard to feed. Would they be sucked through a sponge covering my Aquaclear HOF intake if they are so small?
I have different varieties of them in 3 tanks right now. I use a sand in one tank, almond leaves in another, and ecocomplete in a 3rd tank. THey don't seem to have preference. Their young are typical dwarf shrimp young. The sponge should keep the majority out without too many issues.
