Dont know why but when i woke up i saw my catfish dead loged in the middle of my rock cave. The rocks couldnt of fallen on him or anything because they are silliconed togeather.

The weird thing is that b4 i went to sleep, he was doing fine. Eating and bugging one of my rosy barbs like always...

When i took him out it seemed that the other fish got to him b4 i did and his eyes are missing...=x But his body is still intact, no signs of any illness...

This is the 2nd time too, b4 i had 2 of these guys and the other one died and a few months later this one...

I was wondering if the catfishes are really sensative to water?

Now to think of a center fish to take his place...Any ideas? I always wanted a neon dwarf gourami.

Thanks

What kind of kittyfish was it? Too many variables, ottos are catfish no? and they are delicate when it comes to water. But I doubt a chanel cat would care that much, Ive cought them out of the bay during a bad storm. ;)

it was a White Tip-Shark catfish. About 3inches long...looked so cool cause it resembles to whitetip shark soo much but with out the i will eat you attitude.

Brackish fish http://www.aquariacentral.com/species/db.cgi?db=fresh&uid=default&ID=0034&view_records=1 it says they can go in FW or Full marine, but you know how that goes over with the purists here. Also, I would assume putting it in FW would indeed stess it out. Possibly enough that any small change would cause its untimely death. The little I have said here is from research I did after reading your post, so If I am incorrect, anyone with real experience here is encouraged to correct me :)
