That is the saddle, where the eggs are. When they mate it moves down to their legs. Also your anubias would do best out of the substrate cause its rotting the rhizome, attached to rocks or driftwood is better.
yes, i do know it's a saddle where the eggs are. I just didn't know whether that's before or after mating because I'm not even sure there are male shrimps in my tank! lol

The saddle will fill up with eggs before mating. After mating they'll be laid and attached to the mother's pleopods. Shrimp don't lay unfertilized eggs, so I think the saddle will just sit there if you don't have any males in the tank. I honestly don't know how long a saddle will stick around on an unfertilized female.. but as I understand it she won't lay them until after mating. Then she'll grow a new one, often while still berried.
