my clowns, the prison guards

well no easing up yet. in fact i think if anything it's getting worse. im not sure how the blenny is getting any food at all, the clowns are getting meaner about shoving it in the hole during feeding time. im getting a bit paranoid too as i can only see little jupiter up to his eyeballs - the rest of his body could be raging with disease or ick and i'd never even know it! and it's really making me mad because im sure at night jupiter could find a time to slip out of the hole unnoticed but he hasn't figured that out yet i guess... :(

Have you thought about rescaping? I've read that sometimes if you rearrange all the rocks and things, the fish have to reclaim new territory, so sometimes that can make meanies like the clowns leave a newer fish alone because they'll be busy settling into their new territory and he would have a chance to find his own house away from them.

I think since the rock with the Midas' hole is so close to their nem, you should really move the Midas rock to the other side of the tank.

The Midas is kinda like the clowns when it comes to hosting a hole. They find a hole in a rock that is very easy for them to get in a out of and feels comfortable and secure. They will stay with that hole if you move the rock away from the clown and the nem.

well he had better take a spin and check out one of the other holes in one of the other rocks because unless i totally rescape it would be really hard to move his rock. and moving that rock would mean ticking off my nem which rests on the "blenny's rock" and may cause the nem to take a walk... arg im just so mad for not releasing him on the other side of the tank, i feel really bad and stupid too!

Can you take the clowns out for a few days and hopfully Jupiter could come out and find another bunker? I'd be worried about him too, so that's the only thing I could think of doing. Hopefully he's doing fine and eating, just being harassed for a little bit.

"Can you take the clowns out for a few days" <- Good idea. Put them in an egg crape cage, give J. a chance to escape.

no unfortunately i can't take the clowns out. if i tried putting them into my 29g temporarily the true perc in there would kill them both unless they were smart enough to gang up on her. i don't have a 3rd tank up and running salty :( i guess really my only option is to tear the rock work apart but i think i'll wait at least another week before doing that. i know jupiter has at least gotten a few morsels that have gotten close enough to the hole for him peek out and grab quickly...
