Hi friends.
There is something wrong with my cory. He has a white wart-looking thing on him and I don't know what to do about it. I treated him with aquari-antiseptic, but nothing happened. He acts completely normal and eats the same as he always has. He isn't over'weight', but something is certainly wrong. Should I move him to a different tank, away from the other fish? What can I do for him?
The water parims are normal:
Ammonia 0.5
Nitrite 0.1
Nitrate 5ppm
pH about 7.6
I have never had a sick fish before so, even though I have read about sick fish, I am a little clueless!

Help My Aneus Cory!

It is on his side, closer to his "dorsal" fin.

Is your tank cycling or is it normal to have some ammonia and nitrite in your tank?

How long was the treatment with the medication?

I wouldn't worry too much as long as he is still swimming and eating.

I suppose the tank is just ending it's mini-cycle because I recently got those two cories about two weeks ago(they are the newest ones). It will probably go down again, as it always does. I guess I could put some more prime in, which supposedly 'takes away 1.0 of your ammonia'

The treatment was for a full 24 hours, but you can't have your filter cartridge in while the treatment is going. I am afraid to treat him for any longer at a time because my fish depend on that filter.

I also noticed something this morning when I turned the lights on. This really isn't a bump, it's a white patch. It just looked an awful lot like a bump.
