i looked at my cory today and it has some type of fungus on one of its barbels should i treat them with primafix or will it kill my inverts and plants? i have had these corys for more then 2 months so please help me:help::help::help:

help me quick please it is late where i live and i have school tommarrow:thud::nilly:

hmm i have no tank to isolate in except for a 30 gal which is being used for fry...can i isolate the cory in a breeder trap or in a whole different tank?

you really need a whole other tank

if you dont have one, treat the tank the cory is already in and all his tank mates. you should probably move the shrimp to the fry tank as shrimp are quite sensitive to most medications.

change the water and keep an eye on the cory. a problem with your cory may mean a problem with water quality. check the parameters (ph, ammonia and nitrites/nitrates). if everything checks out ok, he may have injured himself. if it does not clear up or it gets worse, RESEARCH on the net what it may be based on symptoms, then use the appropriate medication to fix it.

it may go away with just cleaner water

Pimafix cannot hurt although it may not help but Melafix is probably what you need to be dosing.
