I just did my first coat of Clear Semi-Gloss last night. I hope to do the final coat Friday. I am going away this weekend so setting this thing up will have to wait until next week or the weekend.

Friday I put the fish in and let the plants float, me and the wife went away for the weekend so I didn't get to root the plants until last night. Now that the dust has settled here are some pictures of the tank. I understand the fish are blurry but they are rainbowfish, they are always moving fast. I will get some better pictures when it's all finished. Right now I have a trim a little inside the canopy to fit it over the light and since I can't clear coat both the front and back of the doors at the same time I am not done with that. The filter system is plumbed with mostly PVC this time around, my last tank I plumbed almost all hose so that is why the hoses are way to long, I will cut those to size before I put the door on.

And yes I will have background plants, I have Repens already and I am going to a fish swap in a couple weeks to get some more low tech background stuff. I am thinking some Val's (the skinny kind), and some crypt balansae and crypt spiralis.

Looks nice. Why can't you clear coat front and back at the same time?

Because it will then be wet. I haven't figured out how to make the wood levitate while it is drying yet. In seriousness I thought of different crazy ways of preventing it from touching anything while it dried.I just figured I would wait and do them one at a time. It was easier that way.

It is actually all done. I just haven't gotten any pictures in yet. Doors went on Saturday. Maybe tonight I will take the pictures. Been busy lately so I will see what I can do.
