My DIY HOB Intake Sponge BabySaver

Cut a piece of old Aquaclear filter sponge about 1.25-1.5" by 3-4". Cut a finger slot in the 1.25-1.5" to make a sponge finger puppet. Slip it over the end of the AC 500 intake tube. If it doesn't fit right, the finger puppet hole isn't deep enough.

OT: I love me some WEC!!! It's on Versus right now, so I had to mention it.

almost 100% same as the one i have. i just have to make sure to clean it each week or it cuts the flow down.

I'm not claiming I invented the idea, but people have asked me describe what I'm talking about and pictures make it so much easier. And yes, they need to be cleaned often to keep flow going.

lol it was more of a good job thing lol.... the one i left for 2 week and it almost stopped the flow in a ac 50.
