FT My fat SAE for your tiny SAE (shipping NYC)

I got a true Siamese Algae Eater a few months ago, and he's done a great job clearing a problem tank... but he's grown super fast and gotten very spoiled. I know he'd be happier in a larger tank. I love SAE's and wouldn't want to not have one, but I'd be willing to trade my big guy for a really small one, in the 1" range. Mine is probably around 2-3". I'll have to try and measure him.

sae's are very hard workers when they are young. but once they get older they get smarter and lazy and start eating the food you feed to your fish. and not really doing its job.

it's both about being a harder worker, and about scale. I do not want to keep fish over 2" in this particular tank. And, I know the fish would prefer more territory... a smaller one will grow up again, but by the time it's large, I'll likely have larger tanks.

Dude. I was gonna ask you if you were gonna ditch the constant gardener soon. The stiphs take care of all the algae in my 55 except for bba. If you wanna let me take him off your hands, I'd be more than happy to give him a spot in the 55.

well that would be nice for him. Lila had asked me if you'd be interested... She really doesn't want to see him go, I think he's her favorite. I'm in no rush to move him, just conscious that it should happen soon. I really hope I can find another tiny one, he does serve a useful role in the cork tank... But finding him a home is half the battle. And at least I'd see him again.
